The first two days a child spends at school are Orientation Days. Successful adjustment from home to school is best accomplished when the transition is done gradually with open communication between parents and teachers. A smooth transition during the early childhood years will lay the groundwork for future positive educational experiences. To help children with their adjustment, we have established the following schedule:
Day 1: One-hour visit. Parents remain at school with their children.
Day 2: One-hour and a half visit. Parents do not need to remain at school, unless the child does not yet feel comfortable within the classroom setting.
Day 3: Children remain at school for the full time their parents have registered them for.
